Meet the Crew
John Donovan has been fishing the waters of Cabo San Lucas since 1984 and has been instrumental in expanding the fleet over the past few years. The opportunity to spend more time in Cabo was the clincher in getting John on board to manage RedRum Sportfishing. John will oversee the operation.
Ryan Donovan has fished in Cabo since 1999 and can't get enough of it. His competitive spirit, as shown in his participation in the Bisbee and the Western Outdoor tuna Tournaments, will be an asset to the organization. Ryan's primary responsibilities will be marketing and communications.
An icon in RedRum history, Jorge Sanchez Matzunaga has been in Cabo for 35 years and has been a mate, captain and the dock manager for RedRum. Jorge will be on site to greet you in the morning and send you off in true RedRum-style. His friendly face will be there to meet you when you return with your catch.
Brooke Sawyers, fluent in Spanish, lived and worked in Guatemala for three years. Her knowledge and understanding of the social and business culture of life south of the border will positively influence RedRum’s business development and vendor relationships.
Luis Vela brings a true passion for all things RedRum. Luis joined Team RedRum in early January 2007 and will be responsible for the day-to-day functions as our office manager.
